Not all revenue is recognized in a straight line. You could already use custom revenue recognition schedules in the historical customer backlog to reflect your actual recognized revenue. Now Jirav also supports custom revenue recognition schedules in your plans, letting you model very complex products and projects into your forecast.
Here's an example of a complex product whose revenue is recognized upon project completion. 30% of revenue is recognized only when the project is half implemented. Then another 20% is recognized when the project is fully implemented. And after that, the remaining 50% is straight-lined for the remainder of the contract.
